Mission
Crosspoint...a place to find and fully enjoy life in Jesus
Crosspoint's MISSION
Crosspoint Community Church exists to please God by helping individuals and families find Jesus and fully enjoy life in Him through:
We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Read more about our beliefs >
Life-giving relationships
The new life that God desires people to enjoy is found through relationship with his Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus himself said he came to give abundant life to all who would trust and follow him (John 10:10). It is in redeemed relationship with Jesus and connection with his church that life now and for all eternity will truly be enjoyed as God intends.
God's plan for gathering people far from him and bringing them into redeemed relationship with his Son, Jesus Christ, most often involves one person living in relationship with another person and sharing his or her faith in Jesus. At Crosspoint, God gives us relationships with people who do not believe and also with followers of Jesus Christ. Together we are helping each other "find and fully enjoy life in Him".
Life-changing community
God wants people to enjoy real community with him and each other. Since the beginning of the church, [small] groups of Christ-followers have worked together, learned together, supported and encouraged each other, cared for and prayed with one another.
Crosspoint strives to be a church [of small groups] where each person is provided an opportunity to be a part of a nurturing smaller group where loving relationships and growing devotion to Christ flourish. It is in the safety of community that the Holy Spirit performs some of his best work - the life-changes necessary to transform people into the likeness of Christ.
Life-celebrating worship
New life in Jesus Christ is to be celebrated in worship of the one true God who makes and saves people. Only God is worthy of all our praise and when we obediently and genuinely worship him, God meets with us. We celebrate him and he meets with us.
Along with the music we use in worship, Crosspoint seeks to include a variety of artistic disciplines and teaching techniques to communicate biblical truth in a way that persuades seekers to receive the message of the gospel and encourages Christ-followers to live in greater obedience to God. We believe it is both necessary and possible to be culturally sensitive in our approach and to be anchored and controlled with integrity to scripture. We will seek to communicate the relevance of the gospel without diluting its content or using methods that do not honor God's truth.
Life-satisfying service
God gifts all the members of Crosspoint for ministry. Some are gifted to serve Christ and others in their local community and some are called to serve in far away places. It is the privilege and responsibility of the church and its leaders to help each member to identify his or her spiritual gifts and then to provide opportunities and encouragement to be trained and to use those gifts for the glory of God and benefit of others. When God's gifts are used for God's purposes, followers experience the joyful, fulfilling satisfaction that comes with lives yielded to God.
