The purpose of The Table is to grow the body of Christ through fellowship while deepening the understanding of what it means to be a follower of Christ. Each night we start out with a meal together around one large table.  There is something that happens when people gather together to share a meal that breaks down boundaries and helps each one see each other for who they are.  After the meal we move into a time of teaching and discussion.  This year we will be using a teaching method called “Storying.”  This method attempts to reconnect with the ancient practice of oral story telling, focusing on challenging each student use their creative imagination to engage the Biblical story painting a fuller picture of the narrative.  Two of the resources we will be using are www.echothestory.com and the book “Shaped by the Story: Helping Students Encounter God in a New Way.”
