Prayer is:
- A two-way communication between God and His people.
- A privilege and responsibility for all.
- A means through which God blesses others.
Crosspoint Community Church is a praying church and the prayer team is comprised of every person who attends—the entire church, including children—for God has given the gift of prayer to all.
Places of Prayer:
Praying in agreement for a person or a situation is one of God’s special graces. At Crosspoint, there are several ways that people can ask for prayer or pray for another. Here are those “places” of connection:
Pastoral Prayer
Prayer concerns can be communicated to the pastoral staff and elders by calling the pastor or an elder or by writing the request on the Connection card included with the Sunday program handed out during worship on Sunday.
Prayer Points
Each Sunday, Prayer Points are published in the program for worship and are intended to be used as a starting place for prayer during the week to come. The Prayer Points can include
Prayer Connection — An email prayer chain for Crosspoint friends and family. Anyone can ask for prayer by emailing the Prayer Connection, or by telephoning the church.
Prayer requests are sent via email to a group of people who have committed to pray for each request. To join the Prayer Connection: Email the Prayer Connection and request to become a pray-er.
The commitment is:
- Pray once for each request that comes.
- Whenever that person or situation comes to mind, pray again.
- Hold each request confidentially.
Small GroupsAs people gather to share life with one another, prayer becomes a vital means of supporting one another.
Special Times of Prayer
Whenever God’s people are gathered, that can be a special time of prayer. There are times when people will gather specifically for prayer and worship—those are published on the website and in the Sunday morning announcements.
